Community outreach 2021
This year the global pandemic sadly left many families without a source and income and therefore food. Khmu Culture reached the community for help and we had an amazing response.
Big thanks to Kiettisack International School for donating school supplies and food and also Kiettisack International School teachers Seng and Ray for their generous donations to our children in Ban Lackpaed Primary School.
Click here to see more pictures of Kiettisack International School’s donation.
Ban Lackpaed Primary School doesn’t have electricity or even water. The classrooms are very hot and dark inside, they are using rainwater when it’s available to flush the toilets but the children can’t wash their hands or brush their teeth. Please, contact us or donate to help our children. Thank you for your support.
Also, big thanks to Colin (Paul) and Big Brother Mouse for their donation of 131 books in Lao language and English to help our children’s literacy and let them dream.
This year we also donated food to the families in most need in our village. The food donation consisted of rice, eggs, milk, noodles, and dry food.
Click here to see more pictures of the food donation.
Please, contact us if you would like to get involved or donate. Thank you for your support.

The tradition and art of jar lifting is being passed to younger generations . This a demonstration performed by the Khmu Traditional Dance Group of Ban Lackpaed, Luang Prabang, Laos.
The jars are filled up with water and they are very heavy. However, this is not only pure strength but also a spiritual practice. The jar lifters whisper some secret words that enables them to connect with the spiritual world and lift the jars.
